Birchbark canoes are available in a variety of styles. Choose from Algonquin, Ojibway, Abenaki, Fur Trader, Cree or select a custom design (see examples under Choose a Style).
While canoes can be built functionally to a length of 35′, typically, a one person solo canoe is about 12′ and a two person canoe is approximately 15′ in length. The beam (or distance across the mid-point) is generally between 30-36″.
Two sizes are available:
• 12′ canoe
• 15′ canoe
You can customize the canoe with features like special lacing, winter bark hulls and side panels, and plank seats.
